What is Demat Acccount ?

A Demat account (short for Dematerialized account) is used to hold shares and other securities in electronic form. A Demat account is required for anyone who wants to invest or trade in stocks in India. It works just like a bank account, but instead of money, it holds your investments like shares, mutual funds, ETFs, and bonds.
